Barclay Uber Approval W/ 2nd recon

so my wife decided to app for this card because of the cash back and the sign up bonuses last week instant 7-10 day message i figured it was a denial so she called in that day the woman who did the recon wasnt very nice and said no she cant get a recon wife was disappointed so she got the letter in the mail today the reason for denial was age of accounts so i convinced my wife to try and recon one more time this time the guy said ok we can give you $1000 starting limit yay! lol they pulled TU score is 728 no baddies avg age of accounts is 10 months oldest account 1 year 3 months

Congrats to your DW on the Uber card. Does she drive for or use Uber a lot? I thought about this card but no longer use Uber as much as I did when I drove for them and lived in a larger metro a few years back.

It's a great card for dining and bars with 4% cash back. 3% on travel and hotels. I haven't even use this card for Uber yet which only gets 2% cash back.

Well then... I guess I need to take a look at that card again. I must have mixed it with another Barclay card. I didn't realize it had the 4% cb on dining. I just knew the 2% on Uber.

No problem. You also get 2% on online shopping and cellphone insurance up to $600 per phone. It's a great cash back card with no annual fee.

Oh, I like the sounds of this card. Perhaps I will look into after I let my Aviator Red AA card age a bit with Barclay first.
