Congrats on your Barclays approval! What an ordeal though.
Called today trying to get the limit raised.
it was a no go.
they told me to call back in 4 months after I've established some history with them
Congrats in getting the card, Could give some data points what is income and ul. Also did thethey give any reason for not increasing line right away. If they are charging annual fee how give only 1k limit that does not sence. I had a card with Barclay's the Ring mastercard which had a 8K limit which was decrease to 3,019 dollars was able to get increase to 10K, check out my post about this fico scores over 800 income 88K. I would call again say how do you want me to use this card such low limit and you are charging annual fee.

talked to my mom yesterday and told her I got a Barclays card and she was like oh, did they give you a $1k limit too?
I was like yeah, how'd you know?
she got one last year and they stuck her with a $1k limit also. Her tu fico8 was 818 at the time.
This does not make any sence, you have income of 125K no lates and verry good ul of 1%, if you can prove your income then I would call back speak to another credit analyst goes as high as you speak to supervisor. I don't know what the anaul fee is but to give a 1k limit on airline travel card is just plan nuts, see what you can do just don't give at this point. See if they are in on a Saturday in credit department. The only thing you have that could be problem is a young file. Good luck again.

That's what I told them. $1k on an airline card is ludicrous
spoke to two different credit analysts and they both said no due to 4 recent inquiries and short credit history. I'll try one more time on Monday. The supervisor of the customer security dept gave me her direct number. I'll ask her to transfer me to underwritings supervisor and hopefully get it raised.
if not I'll just churn it for the sub and reapply in a year or so
What are the 4 inquires from and also what kind of work do you do. If you are just starting just out of school tell them that , what it shows me the banks are afraid. the marketing department wants to open new accounts and the underwriting department is just afraid.
Interesting. I applied in July with 3/6, $50,000 income and got insta approved with a 12k limit. High 700s/low 800s on all three. Super low dti. I also got it with a 70k SUB.
Yea I just found a link to the 70k sub so I'm gonna call and see if they will match.
Congratulations on your Barclays Aviator Red approval!
