@Anonymous wrote:I was considering the Best Western as it's a co-brand card w/Barclays myself. But i'm going to hold off seeing as my TU isn't over 700 just yet and the terms for the card are 13.99% or 23.99%
Realistically IF i get an approval at all, I know i'm gonna end up in the 23.99%
I want the 13.99% if i'm gonna burn an HP for it.
I hear ya. I'm just happy to get in with Barclay.. especially with my TU showing at 631 currently. Something is helping me get approved for these cards but I can't put my finger on it. Ive been AU on my wifes cards for quite a while now so I am wondering if thats what it is. Either way im not complaining though heh

@Anonymous wrote:Thank you guys! I went ahead and gave it a shot. I did some research and although lots of members were denied, plenty were saying out of all Barclays cards that the Apple Visa may be the easiest. I gave that card a shot and was instantly approved for $2k! I just wanted to get my foot in the door with them so I'll probably buy my Wife a new iPad for Xmas or something and pay it off. I won't lie.. I was tempted to go for their Rewards card right now so I'd have a total of 4 majors CCs but I held off.
You should have went for the rewards as well. I got both of them on the same day with the same TU hard pull. I was only approved for $1700 on Apple Visa. Anyway, at least you got your foot in the door. Congratulations!
Do you think they would still use the same HP if I did it now?

Congrats! I applied in September. .. reconned 4 times, no dice. 100% on time payments. No lates or baddies. Clean but thin file. AAOA was just shy of 6 months.
Sorry to hear that! Build up some history and you'll get it. I think being an AU on my wifes cards for a couple of years help.
Did you app for Apple or Rewards card?
I apped for the Apple about 10 hours ago (still within same day)... do you guys think I should shoot for the rewards card or give it some time? I worried they close my Apple card if I have to call in for a recon?

I was going to recommend wait 6 months, but good job! Always PIF if there's no promo financing!
Thanks bud! Yeah, glad I got it.... I held my breath and almost went unconcious as it took almots a minute. Heh.
I'm wondering if I should have went for both... I don't want to push it though.
I also find it weird that I didn't get any emails from neither Apple or Barclays?

Sorry, been at work all day. No access to Myfico. I would have just told you that I don't know. I did mine one right after the other because I read a post from somebody on here that did that and got both cards. I had no idea about the HP's though (that other poster never mentioned them). Wether it'd be one or two. I expected 2 but only got one. I would guess it's in a 24 hour period at least but I really have no idea and I wouldn't want to suggest that you do it. You got your foot in the door although as many others have said I find this Apple Visa kind of worthless outside the Apple purchase I made. Huge interest rate and no rewards so no incentive to use even if you PIF. I'm happy I got it though. If I don't make anymore 0% interest Apple purchases with it I'll have the credit line moved to the rewards card.

How come youre happy you didn't app for the card?

Thanks. Yeah just happy to get my foot in the door. So, is 0% interest on the FIRST purchase only?
Also, I'm just happy to have a card with a 2k CL anyways. I was approved for the chase freedrom for 2.2k 3 days ago which is my highest of all.
I plan to do exactly that, maybe app for the rewards and then transfer the balance from apple to the rewards in a year or so.
