I am supposed to be in the garden. So I am only applying for CLI's that use soft pulls only.
On all my other Citi co branded cards they only do a SP such as the Macy's AX which was approved today as well with a SP
The Best Buy Visa did a HP. As soon as I hit enter for the CLI on the Best Buy site I received an instant text message from EQ that an inquiry was just done. Citi has never said no to me so I was expecting an approval it is just the fact that I did not want any more HP's for CC's over the next two years, just HP for a new car each year.
What is done is done. Lesson learned.
Card went from $5,000 to $10,000
Just ranting here
Thanks
Mark
Congratulations on your CLI!
Congrats
Unfortunate about your hard pull . Thats why i keep my files on ice and go only for the soft pulls.
Example i just requested a cli on my us bank cash+ and while some of our fico fam here get soft pulls ymmv to others. Well i was one where it ended up being a hard pull. But since im frozen the hard pull didnt go through it was blocked and therefore no cli for me . Which is fine.
Luckily your hp wasnt for nothing and you got 5k out of it which is a nice bump .
Take care and be safe !
Congrats on the increase!
Congratulations on your Best Buy CLI!
Congratulations on your CLI!!
Congrats on your cli! Some citi retail cards do hard pulls. They pulled Equifax when I got a cli on my Home Depot card last week.
That’s terrific! Congratulations on your Best Buy CLI approval!! 👏🏼🎉🍾
Congrats. With that said research helps as Best Buy will always do a HP for a cli. Use search utility on site and would of found this out different citi cards do different things and even most SP cli's such as Macy's can sometimes result in a HP. With that said HP isnt the end of the the world they are overratted imho.
