Is everyone eligible to apply for NFCU cards?

You have to have been in the military or have a direct family member (living or dead) that is or was in the military. There are a few other ways to qualify too. Their website details all the ways.
I qualified through my dad (who was a veteran), who has passed away. I could have qualified through my grandfather (also a veteran), who died before I was born. (Parents or grandparents both qualify you.)
I didn't know this for the longest time. I thought that I'd have to jump through all sorts of hoops and endure a bunch of red tape, but not so—all I did was tell them that my dad was in the Army and I was in!
Many people have a parent or grandparent that served in WW2, Korea, Vietnam, etc. More people qualify than realize it. I've read that Navy Fed may at some point need to have proof of your family member's service, but I think that's an uncommon occurrence. Besides, records are not hard to find from online sources. If your military family member served many years ago (I think Korea and WW2) then the records are public domain.
Congrats on your approval and monster Sl !!!!
