Alright, was feeling froggy after I paid off a $7500 balance on Monday from a BT that I carried for a 1 month ...smh. I just don't like owing money even if it's at 0%. Anyways, requested a CLI online, was instant denied. Called today, because wanted to know why, especially since they didnt hard pull my CR, granted they soft pulled it the same day anyways..Rep transferred me to Credit Analyst who offered to reconsider because it was an auto denial (got a $3000 SP increase last month)...Came back approved. New Limit is $20,000. Hate that it cost me a HP for CLI tho...
***Should also mention they asked about new accounts opened, and I explained, I went a long time using cash and only had 1 or 2 cards..Decided this year that I was going to start earning rewards for all the money I spend. Actually told her to look at the accounts I had closed too. She asked about my spend/payments...avg about $7,500 - $10,000 per month between work & personal spending. Only carry a balance if it's 0% and usually it's work related so reimbursed. She looked at High Balances/Payment history on my account & other trades. Made reference to some of the past big amounts.
***Edit - one last note, hard to believe that this card was a Instant Denial back in March, then approved on recon for $5k...$15,000 increase in 7 months.
