I joined the waitlist last week. I also signed up for an account, but it is still in the verification approval stage. My waitlist position was still at 372k tonight. I sent about 5 referrals using various emails, and my position jumped all the way to 3k!

I'm buying cryptocurrency as a long term investment. I don't plan to sell until I retire, which is several decades away (or sooner if crypto and stocks take off!).

As an update, last week the identity verification on my BlockFi account was finally completed, and the account was approved. I applied for the credit card. I was immediately approved with a $15k SL and 16.99%.

I have the card and like it alot. You only need to open an account no funding involved at all. It is open for app now I was like 323,000 on the list and got it a few days ago. Was easier to get then even Apple Card which was also easy for me. No HP was given to date.

Hey. So I out of the blue decided to apply for the BlockFi card the other night(drinks msy have been involved.) I downloaded the app and applied and was instantly approved with a 6000 dollar limit. No waitlist or anything. 

I guess I'm an outlier 🤷‍♂️ 

Regardless I'm excited for my first metal card!

This card is NOT available for New Yorkers....However, they do provide very low rate loan to those who live in NY.

I have this card as well, and I'm not too convinced that it's metal tbh. The card doesn't say anywhere that it's metal (like all other cards) and it's got a blue center, which is different than the other metal cards I've got. It sounds more like just thick plastic when hitting it on a table tbh.

@Matt9543 It is a metal composite card. Similar to AltitudeGO and the Petal (limited edition release), for example.  Also, not all metals are created equal -- just FYI. The literature that was provided early on the relase of this card indicated that it was going to be a metal-type of card.
