I recently got an increase on my Hilton surpass from 10k to 20 k to now 29k. I recently opened a BCP card and my limit is 35k ( only 10k now until the physical card comes). My question is , would i trigger a financial review when i try and get a CLI when the 181 days comes?
Congratulations on your Hilton Surpass CLI!!
No AmEx here so will pass that to members who CAN reply for you.

Congrats on the recently CLI.
Just to clarify @Zig32, a CLI request can sometimes result in income verification (IV) and it is profile-dependent. Some profiles can cross beyond $30K, $35K, $40K, etc., without the need of IV while others may be prompted for it. A Financial Review is different and can be triggered by a variety of other factors (risk mitigation), not necessarily a CLI request.
Therefore, in 181+ days, you can submit the request and depending on how much you ask, you'll know whether AmEx may require additional information to support the request.
Thanks for the feedback. I wasnt sure , i want to ask for 40k come 181 days.
WooHoo!! Congratulations on your AMEX Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
Congratulations on your CLI!!
Grats on your latest Amex approval!
Congrats on your Blue Cash Preferred approval and your Hilton Surpass CLI.
Congratulations on your CLI! 🎉

With Amex it is solely profile driven and that is based on the length of time you have had accounts with them and the amount of spend and payments you have made. The question is always risk vs reward......do you really need that increase or do you just want it for other reasons? With the coming financial turbulance coming you are going to see many accounts reviewed and lines decreased or even closed. You dont want to raise red flags during those times in my opinion. Banks including Amex must reserve capital for all outstanding credit lines and if you have a line that you are not utlizing you are costing them money.......and they do look at those.
