I've had my BofA CC for a year now, it started off as a BankAmericard basic credit card until I PC'd it to the cash rewards card last month. The card started off with a limit of $600. I requested a CLI which was a HP after about 7 months later and had it increased to $2k limit. Last week I called to ask for another CLI which was again a HP and asked to go from $2k limit to $10k limit through the online CLI button. The system only allowed a CLI to $4900 so I called one of the backdoor credit analyst numbers and asked for them to manually review which he did right over the phone. Analyst asked what limit I was looking for and some income information and then put me on a quick hold. After a couple of minutes he came back and said he was really impressed with my report and granted my the credit line increase to $10k. HP CLI suck but it was worth it for me to go from $2k to $10k
I'd like to add that it seems they do still give auto CLI's. I was in the same boat. Cash rewards for almost 3 yrs ithis June. Last week they finally gave me an auto increse +$4K. I had all but given up on them for an increase. I aslo saw a few others have gotten increases of late.
