This was an interesting one considering it was BoA. Have a BoA Rewards CC with $6k CL (Medium utilization & have had it for 4 years) I applied for a BoA Travel Rewards Card in April and was denied.
Tried again in July after prequalifying and was denied again (Reason being a 90-day rule they seem to have for applying for the same card) even though the pre-qualified card that came up was the BoA Travel Card (I even sent a Recon Letter) ... That’s really beside the point...
Like anyone, got irritated; so decided to do a balance transfer to my Alliant CC (Much lower APR & had a $0 balance)
Transfer goes through. BoA goes to $0. Logged in to make sure it was $0 as I didn't want a missed payment... Low and behold!!!
My BoA $6k CL was increased to $10k CL
Not complaining; but seriously??? Denied 2x and a $4k limit increase...
Should have transferred in April and missed out on 2 hits to my credit score...
