I logged into my Bof A checking account and saw a $300 credit for the following: C/H ACCOUNTING CREDIT ADJUSTMENT FDES NNF. Exactly the same amount as my initial secured card deposit. I signed up for the secured card 1 year ago pm 8/28 so it appears i may have gone unsecured. I'm a little shocked my crdit limit hs not changed. Oh well the interest is so high its not worth it anyways
I would call but don't want to risk dropping my score any lower as i will probably be looking for a $5-10K loan in the near future for dental work. I want to try to be eligible for a much lower interest rate so dont want to waste any inquiries for cards I dont need.
Congrats! That's so exciting! I'm waiting for mine to insecure, it just hit the year mark but I've read here that if you let it happen on its own they only SP you and give you higher credit limit.
Now that you got this, what other cards are you gonna get?
Congrats! Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing.
I'm hoping they give me an auto CLI since its my oldeest card. I dont plan on spending it since interest is so high but im assuming that would help my chances of getting other cards with more favorable terms. Unfortunatley i cannot close it as it would kill my AAOC. I have a $300 USAA secured AMEX for about 6 months. Wishing that would go unsecured sooner and high limit since its only 9.99% APR, i woudlnt mind carryong a balanc on that one. Probably the best interest rate i'm going to get on anything for a few years.
My next step is to hopefully get approved for Care Credit for $5K with at least a 24 month 0 interest. I'm not so sure they would give me that. I was approved 3 months ago for $1700 CL w/ Amazon through GE, charged $1400 @ 24 month equal pay. Ive already made $1100 in payments. I ve probably been paying that down too fast and shoudl have put some of that money into savings instead. Hoping that history woudl help if i apply for another GE (whatever the name is now) product.
I just joined DCU so I will probably take one of their credit builder loans as well. I dont wnat to apply for too much becasue i know that could kill my score.
Congrats!!!!
congrats
