So during my rebuild, I picked up this One Main Financial card. It's been fine, no complaints, did what I needed it to do at the time. No AF, SL $3000.
They have this thing where if you make 6 on time payments, you get a CLI or reduction in interest rate. The first time, I got a CLI to $4500. Then I put it in the SD. Recently, just for entertainment, I decided to see if I could get a CLI by swiping once a month on a very small purchase, like a soda from a vending machine. Well, today I got my CLI offer:
I decided to go with, "I'll choose later." ![]()
That would definitely qualify as entertainment. Try a soda and bag of chips for the next cycle, maybe they offer $75.
NFCU Flagship (Daily Driver) | USAA Rewards (1999 Hooptie)
AmEx BCP (Groceries) | Aven Rewards (Groceries) | Chase Prime (Amazon) | Citi Custom Cash (Dining) | Elan MCP (Utilities)
EX(F8) 780 | EQ(F8) 802 | TU(F8) 796 | EQ(BC8) 810 | EX(10T) 782
Well congrats on the offer, even if you chose to decline. Check again next month and maybe you'll get a triple digit CLI offer ? ![]()
Congratulations on your Approval!!👏🏼🍾🥂
Be thankful for small mercies! At least there wasn't an associated CLI 'processing' fee! ![]()

LOL. I haven't paid them a single fee or penny of interest. Which is probably just one of many reasons they couldn't care less about offering me a $50 CLI. To be honest, I was kind of expecting it.
