That's 23 apps. 7 Instant denials, 9 Reviews, 7 Approvals.

And only $6,400 in credit to show for it, $2,000 of it in stores only.

I'd have stopped at CapOne however i'm actually kind of impressed with the $3,000 CL right off the bat from CapOne though with that EQ score.

Bank of Americard: Review - call BofA:  866-618-4585
Wells Fargo: Review
Lowes: Review - GE Declined - if they didn't give you a number to call instantly 7-10 with ge are denied and can't be reconsidered and usually start to happen after about 3 apps in a row with ge!

Kohls: Review - same they give you a number if they want to talk to you otherwise think it's denied and that's bad! they are easy!

Fingerhut: Decline

TJ Maxx: Review - GE denied

Barclay Hotel: Review - really 3 Barclay! what a waste

CareCredit: Decline - GE!

Amex Everyday Blue: Decline LOL

Credit One: 400 - I highly suggest closing this as it's a costly card to have and your approvals that you did get are to good for this card... it's not beneficial in your rebuilding at this point

Garden for a while and get into the groove. Too much too soon may be detrimental.

Congrats on the approvals.

Re: Brother just went on a REAL SPREE

The whole problem here was applying for more than a single card.

Those store cards are pointless, and CreditOne is subprime...

1 card is enough to build history. Quite frankly the CapOne 3k approval was generous. Could have built that into much better cards in 6-12 months.

Instead he now has 23 HP's that will haunt him for a year.

Re: Brother just went on a REAL SPREE

That spree was an absolutely terrible idea. I wouldn't have even advised it if his score was 800+. He should have done 3 cards max. And then wait a year to do some more. People are free to do their own but it's sprees like this and others that are encouraging wrong behavior.
