Intially applied for the chase sapphier card but was declined for too many new accounts opened and I heard that we have to wait for 2 years if we got this reply from chase. So since I like travelling a lot I thought it made sense to only apply for the marriott card and I did just that. Did not get instantly approved, called the backdoor number and a young lady spoke and for a second put me on hold. Though a another decline, but was told to fax in my address proof since there has been a change in my address. Faxed the documents and got in touch with the verification department who said they did not receive my documents and the person said he would verify me on phone itself. Instantly approved for $5k.
