Congrats! Same happened with my last Chase app. 7-10 then 30 day email. They are serious about verification

No it isn't the ame thing as a denial.  Hard to say whether you will be approved or not but that message is routinely given.  Call now and ask.  That way you can answer any questions that they might have and give them reason to approve

I had to do the verification too when I applied last week. Wonder why they instantly approve many people while others have to call and do the verification.
