I was recently instant approved for a Cabelas Club Visa, online app, and received the "your approved, welcome package will arrive in 7-10 days" message yadda yadda..
Came with a 25$ offer on first purchase, so I decided to go ahead and make one.
I have read through numerous Cabela posts on here so I that sometimes you can get a SL amount by calling and sometimes you can't. And I've also read about using the last 4 of card number on the first purchase and being able to find out the limit that way.. When I called a day later though the rep said they didn't have my info on file and to maybe try back next week... When I try the last 4 of my card # it says that nothing is found....
So does anybody know what that means?? Is there a chance that the instant approval could turn into a denial?!
Good luck!
Congrats on the approval..
Nothing will show the limit on the inquiry they are known to report fairly quickly to the CRA's so that is how people see the limits sometimes before the actual card arrives. Or obviously you can call the back that backs the card and get the limit that way or just wait until the card arrives to see the limit

Once you get your letter in the mail, stating your Welcome Kit will arrive, you can call in and get your limit. This letter arrives about a week before the card does.
Looking at the cards in your signature (and limits in your other thread), you're probably looking at a $500 - $1k starting limit.

Spoke with Cabelas just now!!!!! GOOD NEWS!!!! 1500$ SL!!!

Take that stupid Credit Union that denied you CLI!
No kidding!!!!
I am actually a little mind blown by this CU right now. I've always thought that they were pretty good to me, and that probably has a lot to do with the fact that they were the first to "take a chance" on me. But after the recent events.. I got to thinking.. 14 months with this CU CC and haven't budged from a 500$ CL. (That was partially my fault from carrying balances), but how do you justify a SL with a brand new card of $1.5K but my oldest creditor won't CLI me from 500.. A CU at that! On top of that I was informed today that the highest CL they would approve anyone is $7500... Again, decent limit.. But disappointing for being the highest a CU would offer.. They've been good to me with personal signature loans, but if that's the best they can do.. I'm moving on..

I would have a chat with someone about moving you up a bit or soon you will have to cut them to get rid of dead weight on your credit report... but meanwhile, Cut Credit One now!! you don't need them now with your new cabela's, so take that money you pay them monthly and get your credit union card paid off!
be sure to be requesting CLI on your cap1 cards every month and once you get one, reset it in your calendar to start asking again in 6 months
