Way to go! Definitely, it did not use to be like this. Cap 1 is getting a little less... what can I say? A little more generous. ; ) They just raised my own CL, and I am looking forward to my next 6-month CLI.
Congratulations again!!
@sponge_gto wrote:Previously I had tried the luv button a couple of times but were always insta-denied with a message the following day citing "account has not been open for 6 months". Under the Credit Steps program I expected to get a $250 CLI from $500 making $750 total by the 7th statement. However when my 6th statement cut today, I saw my limit is now $2k!
My card is an interesting product. It started off as a no-AF platinum mastercard that I applied for only because I was pre-approved and new to credit. After a few months of minimal use, I called to be enrolled in any rewards program and got the 1.5% cashback benefit which motivated me to move quite a bit of spending to this card, especially during my recent trip to Canada. A $2k credit line is nothing to write home about but coming from $500 it feels like a major step forward. Maybe Capital One isn't so bad for a starter card after all!
Congratulations on your credit limit increase! Thanks for sharing.

Congratulations! Cap 1 has treated me pretty well so far.
Wow! Congrats on the really nice bump from CapOne. My sixth statement comes out next month so I'm crossing my fingers I'll have a lot of luck with it too and that my new limit won't just be $750 though that would put the card slightly ahead of my WF College Cashback card in that respect. Surprisingly for a company that's gotten criticized a lot and doesn't exactly have the best reputation out there compared to other major lenders, they've been pretty generous with me so far because my Quicksilver card started out as a Journey card and two months later I had an offer on file to upgrade.
That is awesome! I just got a Cap1 Classic Platinum and Quicksilver MC and I am enrolled in the credit steps program. Hopefully I get shown as much as love as you! Congrats!
