Cap 1 Venture and QS Approved!

Went to the pre-qual site, was pre approved for QS and Venture. App'd Venture first and got 10k, then app'd QS and got 3K...now to get those limits higher...ANY suggestions? Plan to close Credit One today, these are my highest limits so far, EQ was showing 711 today, down from 720 yesterday. Hopefully I don't get 2 HP's.....

Congrats on the approvals, now wait 2 months and 14 days to request a CLI on both cards, thats how i did it and it worked for me......

THANKS FOR THE TIP!!!!!! I will most CERTAINLY do that!! Did you have balances at that time or were they both 0? I plan to do BT's on both if possible..

Yes i did have a balance on both of my cards when i requested the CLI

Congrats on your approvals!!! Cap1 likes heavy usage. Accounts are usually available for SP CLIs every 6 months. Best of luck!!!

Congratulations!! Use both cards very heavy and make large payments; that's what Cap1 likes in order to get a decent CLI. I say wait 3 months before asking, and with the Venture, wait until you've met your spend and got your bonus. I tried at 2 months and was denied for it being too soon, so I tried again after 3rd statement and got a 3k incease.

Enjoy.. sounds great... looking to cancel some higher apr cards and move to better ones myself since some won't decrease aprs.

Thank you all for the kind words! I went ahead and app'd with DCU as well, got 7500 SL with one of their Rewards cards and an auto pre-approval....deciding on what to do with the auto deal, may trade in or just refi and buy another. FYI, DCU is inquiry sensitive and I was on the phone with the rep going through my bureau. He asked how much I wanted (I told himt to try for 20k) and what my highest limt was (10k as of today with Cap1). I told him about the Cap1 app's and approvals, I'm not sure how much that affected the decision. I'm happy overall, I would've like to get one of those CRAZY 20k+ approvals but we'll see what happens over the next 6 months I guess....
