I've been browsing the threads over the course of 3 months. My credit has been see-sawing due to new medical collections, paying old debts, and things falling off. My goal is to get to the 700++ to match my husband, he's in the 800s.

Anywho, I checked my score utilizing discover's free site, it's 611. Knowing my history is stellar in payments and no inquiries anywhere, my partner and I decided Cap 1 would be the way to go. Did the pre-qualifier today got Cap Platinum and QS1, decided on Cap Platinum because it looks like product changes are available later on. I got approved for $500 and plan on utilizing the ABCD guide to continue on my journey.

Congrats on the credit approval. For the old bills close to 7 years, see if the CB’s can remove them from your CR. That should give you a bump.
