Cap 1 just kept a customer....

I've had a Cap 1 Visa Platinum since 2004.  The credit limit was always $500, but the APR was 8.9% and no AF.  Until recently, I hated the card and rarely used it since Cap 1 had never increased my CL - I totally planned to ax the card after applying for my mortgage next year. Based on suggestions from this forum, I requested a CLI last week and was given an increase to $2000.  Based on further suggestions, I called and spoke with a CSR and requested a PC to the QuickSilver.  I was immediately upgraded, got to keep my current fantastic APR, and still no AF.  I'm actually excited about getting and using the QS now! Cap 1 went from having a dissatisfied customer who was counting down the days to cancellation to having a customer who is actually excited about using her new card.  Moral of the story: just ask for what you want!

Chase Sapphire Preferred $35,000 | Bank of America Cash Rewards Visa Signature $45,000 | Amex BC Preferred $28,000 | Discover More Cash Rewards $12,000 | Chase Amazon Rewards $8600 | Capital One Quicksilver $2000 | CareCredit $12,000 | Macy's $15,000 | Victoria's Secret $5600 | New York and Company $4000

Re: Cap 1 just kept a customer....

Congrats on the CAP1 CLI and in 6 months try again

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
