I've had this card for 6 years and the only other CLI I've received on it was the credit steps $500 to $2500 where it sat for seemingly eternity. I even went so far as to stop at a Cap One Cafe years ago and interrogate a CSR as to what it would take to make this card grow to something quasi useable. They called into UW with a number they had and UW said "It will never grow due to the way the card product was underwritten." I later learned here on MyFico that this was Cap One speak for bucketed.

Fast forward to last night, I hit the luv button on this card for the first time in maybe 5 years. I didn't expect anything as this card gets a couple swipes a year... well,

Woohoo... 🙄😁Screenshot_20211118-203441_Capital One.jpg

I went and bought Power Ball tickets...

Congrats on the CLI!

This card along with the GM BuyPower CC were on a similar UW platform back in the day. I've seen this particular card with CLs in the $10K range, though.  Although, it may take a while for this one to get there.

Let us know how the Power Ball efforts turned out!

Back in the day I ran this card up to around $2000-2300 every month and PIF but still no dice. That's when I decided to give the Cap One Cafe a try and the UW said essentially "No CLI's ever!", which is why even getting the $250 surprised me. I wonder if the amount of spend I put through Savor may have anything to do with the door slightly squeaking open more as I haven't put more than $100 a year on this card for a long time. (Last use was a $30 haircut in July. Savor gets $3-5K/month.)

At this pace it may get to a useful CL by the time I retire.

If the Powerball had hit, I'd be posting pics in the Garden of running BoA, Chase and Amex up to their limits in Ibiza party0023.gif
