Cap1 CLI Shocking

Long story short, I opened a cap 1 journey card over 2 years ago with a $300 credit limit. Over those 2 and a half years I missed 3 payments due to cash issues at the time. Just logged into my cap1 account and after 2 and a half years with the missed payments still on my credit report got a $1000 increase to $1300! CANNOT believe it! I requested a CLI about a month ago on the card and was denied due to the missed payments. Shocked finally have faith with Cap1 again. I will say that I recently converted the journey card to a quicksilver card with the 0 annual fee. Woo hoo!
