Cap1 does it again. PC to Venture

Yesterday I got a CLI on my Platinum VISA, no rewards and $19.00 annual fee version. This card was originally a starter $300.00 limit card with HSBC.

Today checked the online "Modify your features" link which as usual was a no go. So I decide to chat up CS and 10 minutes later they PC that old Platinum card to a Venture no AF. It could not have been any easier, all I had to do was ask and boom done.

I have to wonder if the EO finally made major changes downstream so we all would not bother them so often?

Anyway I wanted to share my experience so any of you that have non rewards cards, take a shot. It wont cost you anything but a few minutes time, worst they can say is no.

Congrats Wtg !! If i was you i would have apped for it because you lost out on a sign up bonus and the venture is passing great CL out right now..

Believe me I had been thinking about doing an app for the Venture for a couple weeks for the reasons you mentioned. The tri bureau hard pull and adding another new account kept me from doing that.

When you say no AF Venture, do you mean Venture One with 1.25% rewards and no AF standard, or do you mean the Venture with 2% rewards that normally has $59 AF?

If you got a 2% Venture with no AF, that would be awesome!

Just the 1.25 card for me. But I am not complaining. I was expecting them to try and push me to the QS1.

Understandable But i pulled 2 new cards for the triple pull

Incredible! Happy that you got the PC approved with no muss, no fuss

It would be nice if they really did do something downstream to make things easier on all sides involved.
