Woke up this morning and went online to look at my capital one statement. I thought my credit steps program ended in January bc that's what the email originally said in July. But evidentally they did it early. My old Quicksilver credit line was 1K and it was increased to 7K ! That is now definately my largest credit line. Can't believe it. lol
Every month I charged between 800 and 900 on the 1K limit and PIF before the statement cut each month. I have been rebuilding my credit the last four years. Still have several old charge offs from 5.5 - 6 years ago.
Now I can cancel that Verve card lol.
Congrats on your x7 cli ![]()

Congratulations!
Congrats! You should check on chat or Facebook the possibility of the upgrade to World Mastercard Thanks for sharing.
wow never heard of that kinda increase...what is your EQ score if you don't mind me asking...that is way above the normal of credit steps.
CONGRATS on your outstanding CLI from Cap1, you must have a really nice credit score!!!
I do not know my equifax fico, just the fako. My Walmart FICO (TU) is 695 and my FICO for Experian given to me by one of my bank accounts is 701. When I opened the card I had two old collections that I had removed in the last four months using advice from the "rebuilding section" on here and credit boards. I didn't know my Experian prior to that, but I do know my TU has gone from 621 to 695 since I opened the card and had the CA removed.
I also opened capital one 360 online checking and savings accounts the same month I got the card and I transferred my direct deposits to those accounts. I also have a Capital One 3 year car loan with them that I have two months left to pay off. I also have three other Capital One cards. Seems to be the only lender that likes to do business with me. I also update the income section of the online site for the credit cards anytime I get a pay increase.
cards: 4 capital one cards, amex green (this month), chase bp oil visa (last month), walmart, overstock, jcrew, amazon, 2 credit one cards, and verve card (which I'm trying to close and when I call them they said they don't know how to close it, so I guess I'll send certified mail with a letter and get it notarized)
Terrific!!! That high new credit line will look great on new Apps.
