I haven't had the best of luck with Capital One since my first card (from 2002) went from a starting CL of $5k to $700 after I maxed it out and paid it off. My second card (from 2008) went from $500 to $750 to $3k and I figured it would stay there like it has for years. I requested a CLI on the $700 last month with a no go. Today I logged on and my $3k has been increased to $6k! Anyone else gettng Capital One love?

For capital one to decrease your credit limit, you had to demonstrate some very poor habits. At least you are back on the right track congratulations.
Yes. I was a college student and maxed it out, paid the minimum every month for years, sometimes went over CL or paid late, paid it down and maxed it out again and finally paid it completely off. That's when they decreased it. Totally understandable.
Congrats on your new credit line!!
