6 months to the day after my last increase, I hit the love button on my Cap1 Platinum and got an increase from $1500-$3000. It's still an infuriatingly low limit and my one card that refuses to grow subtantially but I don't want to close it since it's my oldest card by a long shot. It will remain in the sock drawer for now!

congrats and thats a nice increase considering you probably dont use it much. I cannot get an increase on my Cap1 Platinum...its been stuck at 3500 for almost 2 years. I myself dont close it because it is one of my oldest cards also.

I wonder if there is a ceiling for how high the Platinum limits can go. I don't think I've ever seen a Platinum limit higher than $3500-$4000...

good question. It started out as one of their rebuilders cards but go a CLI and AF permanently removed 2 years ago. Well i have their quicksilver and Venture so may close and combine limit with either one.

Congrats on your increase. My first card was a Platinum and I used it a lot and paid several times a month. I'm over 6k now. I recall a CSR indicated that they are more conservative with the Prestige and Platinum cards compared to their Venture and QS cards. Matter of fact I just switched the Platinum to QS in preparation for combining cards. No real perks for the Platinum card and my interest rate is lower on my Venture and QS cards.
I have mine up to $7K and then PC'd it to a QS back in August, so it can certainly go higher. Mine started at $2500 though.
Congrats

That's not a terrible CLI. Does everyone forget the days long ago, when Capital One would give out $200 CLI's to everyone?
