I have been with capital one a couple years (2 years and 11 months). They were my first credit card which started with 1000 limit. Got 3 increases 100 each with no usage what so ever.
Really wanted to see an increase though so for me I decided to put 50% of my monthly spending on the card. Just requested an increase... and was given 2500 increase!
So my total limit is 3800 now.
I know that's super low for most of the people on the forum still but for me I'm super grateful.
Congrats on your Cap1 CLI 🎉
Congrats on your move up with Capital one
Congrats! Yeah, putting heavy spend on the card seems to be the only thing that gets Cap1's attention.

Low or high isn't what's impressive. Cap1 CLIs tend to be around 10%. They almost tripled your limit!

That's not super low. Congrats!
If you don't mind sharing with those of us who haven't been as fortunate, what percentage of the limit did you put on the card, and for how many months? Did you let the charges report, or did you pay it off before the statement closed?

Thanks, I would max it out and pay it off right away three times a month. I never let any balance post. I did that for the last year. (Started around October 2021)
