I just wanted to share my experience with Capital One's Credit Steps program since I've been pretty happy with them. I got my Capital One Journey in July-2014 and just did an effortless PC to a Quicksilver earlier this month. My credit steps document said that it'd increase by $500, but My 6th statement just cut and they increase me from 2k to 5k!! My parent who got a Quicksilver around the same time also got an increase from 10k to 15k!! I guess it's pretty YMMV with the CLI you get with Capital One, but overall they've been great IMO!
Does anyone know if they'd change my Visa Platinum to a Signature and if they'd allow for another CLI through their site? Thanks!
Grats to you and your parents ![]()
Congratulations!
Congratulations!!
@Anonymous wrote:Interesting that you were even enrolled in Credit Steps. I though the cutoff for that was $1,500.
No i know that is not cutoff. as i was in credit steps as well on my quicksilver when it was a qs1. i started at 500 limit and they gave me 3500 increase. even though they said i would get 250 dollars. never know with cap one. after i went to the pre qual site and it said i was pre approved for another qs1. i called them and they said i could get another card or upgrade to the regular quicksilver without AF. which i took. outstanding.
Major Congrats!!!!

I meant starting limit, lol.
But it looks as if $3,000 SL are even in Credit Steps.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
