I applied last week for the Capital One Secured card and got approved for the card with a $99 deposit and a $200 limit. I don't have many inquiries, so I thought I'd give the Capital One Platinum application a try expecting to be denied. I was shocked to be approved for the card with a $300 limit.
I know to many on here a $300 limit is nothing but this is the first unsecured card I've been approved for in 6 years of slow rebuilding. Particularly since my FICO scores are all mid 500's and I've got a few negatives still to be dealt with. I couldn't be more thrilled. Another step on the credit ladder back to a 700 score.

Congratulation. Good first step. Before August of last year, I didn't have a credit card to my name, then I got a preapproval from Capital One and my rebuilding process has started from there. Keep us posted on your progress.
Congratulations! A meaningful journey starts with little steps. Every step is important.
Keep it up, you'll get to your goal! Many of us have been there for one reason or another, stick to the plan.
Congrats! Be good to Capital One and they will treat you well. I started with a secured card six months ago and now have a Venture and Quicksilver with healthy limits (for me). I stil have the secured card (I don't use it and will close it next January) and they increased my credit line last week.
That is terrific. Congrats. Let them age, and your scores will rise fast.
Congrats! Use it wisely and better things will come! CapitalOne has helped a lot of people in rebuild, I sure appreciate them!
Good deal!! Congrats!!!
