If you don't mind me asking, what was your spend between August and October? I'm trying to get a CLI out of them too. I got the "low usage" denials last two CLI requests I made. This month I'm spending more than half my credit limit and will PIF. If I get denied, I'll SD it!
I charged $0/2500 in AUG, about $1300 / 2500 in SEP, and about 830/2500 in October.
Others on this forum have suggested that, for best results, ideally one would want to spend almost all of one's CL (then PIF). I only got a $300.00 CLI. Hard to say, but I might have been given a bigger CLI if I had done a better job of following that 'recipe'.
Thanks for sharing! About 7 months ago, my increase was $300 too. If I get one, that'll probably the amount again. ![]()
Congrats on your CLI with Cap1!
Congratulations on your CLI
Congratulations! I am early in my journey hope I can join you soon!

Best of luck to you.
Wanted to add that grousing about Capital One denials and/or lame limits is fun and a way to let off steam, and should not be taken too seriously. This bank offers some of the best, if not the best credit opportunities in early stages of establishing credit. (Platinum and QuickSilver One, both with no-annual fee and comparatively fair APRs, w/ cash advance & balance transfer features included). Capital One's website offers a pre-screen app, so one can check to see whether approval is likely.
The thing to understand about Capital One is that they take a 'snapshot' of your credit when you apply and that gets stored with your account -- if you haven't much credit history this snapshot will put you in a bucket where the credit line you get is very constrained...for quite a while...even if your credit profile improves significantly. It's quirky and a bit confusing to people. If you apply for their top-tier cards (Venture & Savor) further down the line, with longer history and high scores, this is not the case.
