Hi Everyone–
I had a couple of CapOne cards (Venture, Ventrue One, Savor etc) and closed them all a few years back. I recently tried to get back with them in 2020 and was a no go for a while. I finally got pre-approved for a secured card (01-Nov-21) and went for it just to get my foot back in with CapOne. Yesterday, I tried the pre-approval link again and was finally given the option for a QuickSilver One. I took the bait and got a link to upload my Passport and SS Card. This morning I got an email for a 4k approval. I went back to their website and saw that the QS One is for people with fair credit. I have an 800 Fico Score across all boards and 1% Utilization. My main reasons for denail are too many accounts, too many inq. My question is, "I have a card for FAIR credit but was given a 4k limit?" is that right? Is this card eligible for CLI's down the road?
Thanks!
Cap 1 is a strange bird when it comes to approvals and score related issues.
last year i got approved for a savor one 3k sl with a bk7 less than 2 years old.
It clearly states on their site that to get a savor one for good credit you need to be 5 years post bk.
Thanks! I was kicking myself for jumping the gun on this card becasue I really wanted the Venture. I will wait 6 months and then try I guess.
Grats on your SQ1 approval
The card is likely not bucketed with that SL and I would expect CLIs in the future as long as your profile improves.
Congratulations on your QS1 approval!
Congrats on your Capital One QS1 approval!

Thanks ! I was hoping the secured card would get me somewhere . At least it's a 4K limit. Hoping it grows a bit
