@ptrain wrote:Actually I went from $500 - $2000, my request went as a direct message to capital one on Twitter. I have been contacting alot of the CC companies via Twitter and eventually they get my phone number and call me about my concerns/requests. So I went straight from $500-$2000. Part of this was due the fact they initially declined a CL on my QS card, but approved me for a new Cap One Plat. Could'nt understand how they could give me a new card but decline a CL, went on Twitter (kept it professional) and the rest is history. Keep it up, you'll get that big CL soon enough.

This just happened to me too -- they just approved me for a quicksilver for $1000. I have a cap one platinum account that I hit the luv button for after I was approved for the new card and it was denied. I've had the platinum account for 9 years and it has sat at a $500 dollar limit for 8 years. I truly do not understand how they approve me for $1000 quicksilver and then deny my 9 year old platinum account.. And I'm at 5% util. Not even $250 increase. I don't get it. Any advice?
Congrats on the CLI
How is the usage of that card?
Congrats!!
Would you be so kind as to provide me with the contact information or way you requested such a high increase. Ive been in the credit steps program with capital one over 2 years now and jus 3 months ago....they finally upped me from 850 to 2350..after 2 years of never being late.
My utilization has been high for most of the time ive had the card but i jus recently paid this card off in full and now im wondering if i can ask them for another increase...tho they might make me wait the full 6 months "/

odjohnson3,
Login to your Cap1 acct, under the "Services" tab click on "More", scroll down to the "Contact Us" area and either call the number listed ot go on live chat to request a Product Change (PC) out of that sub-prime card to a standard QuickSilver or something else they offer you.
Simply ask about available products and they will tell you what you qualify for.
Blessings and Godspeed...
