Re: Capital One Quicksilver PC

On my CapOne account, it was previously displaying "5,180 miles".

Today it was converted to "$51.80 cash"

Re: Capital One Quicksilver PC

Received an alert today. Since the Quicksilver is a WMC, I presume this means I don't have to keep bugging CapOne about getting a CLI?

If I want to charge more than the $10k limit, I just need to pay it down with the next statement?

(the balance activity is actually a series of moves, most of the first balance over to Discover to get a lower APR with no fee, then kiting a BofA balance to CapOne preparing to re-BT it back to BofA on another 18-month 0% offer for a 4% fee)

Re: Capital One Quicksilver PC

Yes, similar to Visa Signature, both types of cards seem to be reported as "flexible spending".

The actual wording in the Customer Agreement that they sent is that Capital One:

"We may consider each transaction that may cause you to exceed your revolving credit line based on several factors, including your performance on this Account and other credit accounts you have with us and your performance with other creditors. If we do authorize transactions in excess of your revolving credit line, they will be subject to this agreement. They will not result in an increase in your credit line."

Re: Capital One Quicksilver PC

Congrats to you !

I've had mine since 8/2000 that still has a 8.4 APR with the full line available for cash advances (don't use that option though), but a $4800 CL that they refuse to budge on. I think that may be because once upon a time, you could open another card - close it - combine the limits ! They've long since stopped that option & really think that has hindered me to this day.

I don't really care because the line itself is decent & I love that they've never given me any flack on the APR (this card started out with the marble green look with no rewards & then upgraded to the QS/1.5  through EO because I didn't want a new app with a higher APR).
