Yesterday I got a mailer that said I was eligible for the Quicksilver Visa.
It listed No Annual Fee, 0% Intro APR until September 2015, CLI After 5 months of timely payments said minimum $300 CL.
I considered it for a while and decided to apply using the invitation my reason for justifying it was I hadn't been in the garden long and my major negative doesn't fall off until 2017 so I was at the point where the inquiry would fall off by the time it did. I wanted a card that didn't charge a FTF, the 1.5% has it's purposes and I like the idea of having diversity in my wallet just in case something happens with one bank they aren't my only credit source.
I was approved instantly for 1k starting. It was a little lower then I would like but I will get a CLI in roughly May or June so my guess is take care of it and it will be 3K or so by then.
The only negative is I don't get the $100 sign up bonus but to me it seems this is getting the Quicksilver Visa for Excellent Credit card via a Credit Steps program of sorts.
Back in the garden the only thing I would consider coming out for are a AMEX (call me weird but I really want one and possibly a Nebraska Furniture Mart Store card) My guess is neither of this until late 2015 at the earliest.
