Capital One Quicksilver1 and Platinum MC APPROVED

After reading several post about people getting approved through Capital One, I figured I would go to their site and see if I was pre-qualified for anything. To my surprise I was pre-qualified for both the Quicksilver1 and Platinum MC. So of course I appliedI got approved for both! Only $300 limits but its a start and will help with my rebuilding. So far my only other card is the Discover It secured card that I have had since Sept 2014(Hopefully it will graduate this Sept). Btw I have a unpaid charge-off with Capital One, along with about 4 other chargeoffs(NFCU,BOA) so I guess its true that they are pretty forgiving. Just thought I'd post this incase anyone else was wondering If they should try Capital One after burning them in the past.

That's awesome! Big congrats on your approvals! You make me wonder if I should go ahead and go for the QS1... I was just approved today for the platinum afte getting a pre qual in the mail. Some advised waiting a couple weeks. But you got two approvals back to back. Good for you. 😊

I dont want to give out incorrect info but I believe they may use the same inquiry if you apply. I recieved an alert immediately of my new inquiry. I looked at my credit report and it showed two inquiries from Capital One. I logged in the next day and the 2nd inquiry was removed. All 3 of my reports only show one inquiry from Capital One Now. I did do my apps only about 3 minutes apart.
