Hi Everyone,
I received my CH7 BK discharge back in August. The same day I received my discharge, I was approved for a $750 CL Lendup Arrow Card. Last night, I was reading up on Capital One cards. I burned them in my BK for ~$35,000. My general understanding is that if you burn Cap1 in BK, you are blacklisted for 1 year. However, I read some posts to the contray which stated that several posters who burned Cap1 in BK were approved immediately after receiving their discharge.
So last night, I decided to pull the trigger on a Cap 1 Secured Mastercard. I was pleasantly surprised by the approval screen. I decided to put down ~$850 on the card so I can receive a $1000 CL.
My plan from here: 1) Garden and in 6 months apply for the Capital One QS card 2) Only step out of the garden if I receive an Ollo Prequal Offer, which I would pull the trigger on if it was an Ollo Rewards Mastercard.
I have been following the BK to 700 rebuilding guide, due to how many creditors I burned in BK it has been tricky to find a second lender to give me a line of credit. Now that I have the 2 cards reporting to the credit agencies, I will sit back and hopefully see my scores go up even quicker than they have in the past month!
Nice! If you could, please share your FICO etc, here so it will help others in the future.

Congratulations on your approval!!

Congrats. We all had to start somewhere. In time if you play the game right, You can recover. My siggy is for 1 reason bascially for people like us. It can be done with time and slowly growing to where you can rebuild sucessfully. First brick laid. Now build on the foundation.
