Back in late 2022, I was bombarded with mailers, emails, notifications to apply for the Cap1 Savor One card. However, I have racked up a number of INQs on my EX and TU reports so I decided to apply but only keep EQ unlocked. When I was ultimately approved for the card, I think my plan back fired as my SL was only $500.
Fast forward to this morning, and I woke up to a nice surprise email from Capital One:
"You’ve done a great job managing your account, so we increased the credit line for your account ending in 9501 from $500 to $3,500. Life is full of unexpected events. We hope knowing you have credit available—if needed—gives you one less thing to worry about."
I am 100% surprised Cap One just up my limit by 6x, but I can't shake the feeling that maybe $3500 would have be my SL if I didn't keep my EX and TU locked during the application. One will never know with Cap One, but overall I'm happy with the increase.
More DPs, today should be statement date for my 6th statement, and I was planning to apply for a CLI once it posted.
