Capital One surprised me!

I recently applied for a secured card with Cap one, the card arrived today $300.. but I also noticed a pre approval letter from them in my mail...I went for it and to my surprise I was approved to a $2,000 unsecured card...unbelievable.!!

How long should I wait before I close the secured card?

If you are in the process of building or rebuilding your credit, DO NOT cancel the secured card. You need it to help build credit. You should have 2 or 3 revolving credit tradelines to fuel your score. Also Congratulations on the 2k unsecured!!

Close the secured card now. But first I would try for another card like Barclay's rewards or walmart. Once you get approved for that, you can close the secured card and get your money back.

Update: I definitely closing that secured card..
I was approved to $1000 with Merrick Bank

So my wallet looks like this: $650 credit one, $1200 macys, capital one $2000, $1000 merrick, venus $500 (clothing), secured open sky $300, secured cap one $300... should I stop there and start gardening? Should I closed both secured account? I opened both a week ago.. thank you in advance for your help!!
