Capital One unexpected increase

I wanted to increase my credit line and spoke with someone at their 800#  on the back of my credit regarding my original decline increase request in Sept. And like many other experiences here was offered no option to recon; basically told that doesn't exist and no one has access to my credit report to even assist if they wanted to.

Come back to this form and located their recon number, same response

A few months ago I opened their 360 savings account to have a percentage of my payroll check automatically deposit so I decided to check that account today and within the summary screen could view my credit cards summary details  (also have a secured line of $1,700) and noticed I had an available credit balance over $1,000 with my original line at $500. I immediately access my credit card account to verify if this was an error and bammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  new credit line $1,500

Woah, I still couldn't' believe it and called their automated system to hear by available balance and yep system indeed reported the same information

Am really happy about this unexpected increase after feeling defended yesterday with customer service

Re: Capital One unexpected increase

I just logged into one of my two pathetic Capital One cards a few minutes ago and sweet baby Jesus Christmas came early! :good:

I got my second ever auto CLI from Capital One in a DECADE from $750 to $1,750 with a 666 CapOne TU score. The only other time my two CapOne cards (this card actually) got a auto CLI was when CapOne bought out last year (or was it this year?) HSBC's CC portfolio in the USA and I went from $500 to $750 when they converted my HSBC card into another CapOne card.

Would I be wise or unwise to press my luck and probably give up a nasty hard pull (no idea who CapOne pulls in Texas?) to see if they'll match my CL of $1,750 with my other CapOne card since my other CapOne card has only a $400 CL! (saddest thing ever typed)

Also I have only 1 inquiry on TU and none EX or EQ and a zero balance on the $400 CL CapOne card, obviously since if I buy a freaking Snickers I basically max it out!

Re: Capital One unexpected increase

Update I didn't chicken out and got on with a CRS on CapitalOne.com chat and he verified that I was eligible to attempt a CLI online.  Thinking I would be denied.

And results shown here ===> https://www.dropbox.com/s/48jfxb6s7uic8n6/screen_2014-12-19%2021.54.57.jpg?dl=0

WOW! **bleep**! First CLI in A DECADE/NEVER HAD A CLI with this CapOne card and just got $3,100 CLI!

TU Capital One score was 666! The Diablo Score!

It's my Capital One Christmas and Birthday all wrapped in one today! Smiley Very Happy Heart
