IMHO you'll be just fine, unless you were constantly applying for cards that make you look desperate for seeking credit.
@Bblack31 wrote:First time posting, but have been reading the forum for a while now. My wife and I just completed a 4 year DMP where we paid off over 95K in CC debt. We have definitely learned our lessons, living on cash for 4 years has taught us a lot. Our Scores where both in the 640's when we started and have dramatically improved over the time. My average score between the 3 is 807. With saying all that, now that our accounts are all closed I was really worried about not having any open TL. So I applied for a capital one quicksilver visa card and was really surprised to be instantly apporved for $20K with the lowest offered APR. That card is just in my name and so my wife applied for the capital one venture one card and she was also approved for $20K with the lowest offered APR. I want to get back in with Amex at some point but I know that all the remarks about consumer credit couseling will need to be off my credit reports first. We have a fairly high combined income of $135K a year but I was still surprised by the such high credit limits considering what all I have read on here about Cap1.
Congrats to you and your DW ![]()

Wow, very nice start limits from a bank considered by most to be useless ![]()
Congrats to you and DW on all the hard work you have gone through,
welcome to the forum and also congrats on the new CP1, very nice starting CL!!
Thanks everyone, it was really tough at times. The company I used was amazing. So happy I went the DMP route. It has saved my credit, increased my scores more than I could have imagined, and took away a huge burden.
congrats!!!
