1. 1000 to 1500 quicksilver one
2. 1000 to 1500 quicksilver one
3. 500 to 2500 platinum and did a product change to quicksilver one. This surprised me because I had always been rejected on CLI before
4. 600 to 3600 platinum and did a product change to quicksilver one. This surprised me because I had always been rejected on CLI before
I still have one card at 500.00 limit that I cannot get an increase on, it was an old card that was transferred from another company to cap one. Does anyone know why they wont CLI this card?
I have built my credit up and don't really need these cards but they really help my utilization, having been increased by $6000.00 in less than 5 minutes.
It has taken a long time, almost 3 years of plugging along down the credit road, but now with increased limits, and having added AE and Chase to my wallet in the past 6 months. I feel like I am heading towards the right direction.
I owe it all to My fico!
How did you get the PCs? Talk to them on the phone or over the web?
When I did the PCs on my two cap1 cards, I did it through online chat. Took five minutes.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on the CLI's!!
I think they may have had a change of heart with regard to doing their part to reinflate the credit bubble after the negative story concerning their user agreement generated outrage a couple of days ago.
As soon as I saw all that negative publicity I knew why - because I knew they weren't being nearly as generous (or foolish) as the other lenders out there.
I'd be willing to bet they got orders from on high to start lending with reckless abandon, and when they didn't, they got a shot across the bow.

So... now would be a good time to apply for a new card or CLI...

And here's Cap1's response to the outrage. Log into your account and you read this 'alert.'
You may have heard there is language in our customer agreements stating we could potentially make “personal visits” to our customers.
As much as we would like to get to know each of our customers better, we don’t visit our customers at their homes or workplaces to discuss their credit card debt—ever. We never will and apologize if we ever made you think we might.
And if we need to call you—rest assured—we will never claim to be anyone other than Capital One when we make those phone calls.
Finally, we are reviewing our customer agreements to ensure we use language that more clearly represents our intentions. We can do better.
Awesome!!!! I got a $2,000 CLI so yes they're definitely in the giving mood. Maybe it has something to do with the bad press about visiting homes maybe not, but I'm happy we can benefit from it.

Congrats on the CLIs! And was that old company that became CAP1 Orchard Bank by any chance?
