I got my first major credit card that isnt first premier. Capital one gave me 300.00 it seems like that is the magic number for me with credit cards.

Congrats! In the early stages of credit building, it seems credit limits start out really small. Frustrating? Yes.

That is what capital one starts that majority of people out with. Do well with it and they will continue to increase. I recently got a quicksilver from them. Congratulations.
