Cathay Pacific SYNC

Now that Alaska joined One World, I was looking for a backway into some extra miles and BofA is not an option for us and currently holding out for 60 days on husband Chase United approval before going for another, so saw that Cathay is backed by Sync... Husband applied and instantly got the 7-10 day notice which is 99% denied with Sync... to my surprised a little over a week later a letter came in the mail saying please call us for verification... Didn't know sync did that.

The call then provided a website which he had to go to and take a selfie and upload his DL and answer a couple questions and then was given a code to call back to verifications with the code and upon entering code they gave instant approval $1537 (odd number, which usually means it can be increased so just waiting the card to try that)

Comes with 40k mile bonus on $3k spend.

Grats on the CP approval and yes Synch has been verifiying quite a bit even when the person holds other cards with them. They love to waste time and money.

Congratulations on the Sync approval. That is a very odd limit. 🙂

Re: Cathay Pacific SYNC

Yes. For some reason, the Cathay Pacific visa specifically may send you an unusual form requiring you go to a notary and verify your application. Especially if you’ve been approved for another SYNCB card on the same day /recently. bit of a quirk with the card.

Re: Cathay Pacific SYNC

Congrats on the approval!

Applied for it today and got same message..... I just have CareCredit with sync (12k cl) so wait and see. I don't have any visa and plans a few Vietnam trips in the coming years.
