I just apped for Chase's AARP card and got approved for $4500. When I signed into my Chase account it was already there, but better than that is that they increased my Freedom from $2500 to $4000 with the new ap. Yes I have much higher limits on other cards but these serve a purpose for me.

Every time I've ever been approved for a CC, Chase gives me a small CLI on my Freedom. I don't know if this is a Chase "thing" or if it's specific to the Freedom but I don't question it lol.
Congratulations on the AARP aswell as the CLI!
Very nice, congrats on the approval & a CLI
Congrats OP! It's a great approval and a great card. I don't think I've ever heard of Chase increasing credit limits on existing acounts when opening new ones. That's pretty awesome! Incidentally, for some reason, I'm seeing a TON of $4500 approvals for the AARP recently. Kinda strange. One would think Chase would be inclined to just go ahead and approve them for $5000 so they'd be issued as Visa Signatures and they could collect higher swipe fees on them.

Also, congrats to you, Imperfectfuture. I don't remember seeing your approval thread. Did I overlook it?

LOL, no. HeavenlyFlower often teases me about not putting one up, but by the time I have everything done in a mini spree, seems dated. So, I just feed off everyone else's approvals.
. Anyway, thanks.
