Applied last week hoping to use the $200 SUB on Prime Day and my app went pending 
I called the recon line to see if I could expedite the decision process, but after getting transferred a couple of times, they told me they couldn't review my application on the spot because it needed to go through a second review, and they didn't do those over the phone with the applicants. I kinda pushed a little more because of Prime Day, but they said they couldn't help due to the amount of credit already extended to me.
This morning, I got an email from Amazon (not Chase) saying that my application was approved with an initial limit of $5k and a link to add the card to my Amazon account. I figured they'd reduced the limit of one of my other cards to get that $5k SL. So I checked all my other cards first and they were intact. Finally looked at the new Amazon card details and it showed a $35k limit! I was NOT expecting anywhere near that amount. 
Pretty happy they didn't reallocate any credit to approve this card, but I did miss using the $200 gift card on Prime Day. Oh well...
I enjoyed being under 5/24 for close to a year, but now I'm right back at 5/24 with this approval. This is card #5 in the last 10 months or so with Chase (4 personal and 1 business).
I think I'm gonna get rid of the Amex Amazon card now.

When they told me they had to do a second review because of my current exposure, I thought I was already tapped out with Chase. I was truly expecting a tiny limit or a credit reallocation. And yet, they gave me an ever a higher SL than my last approval, which was $31.9k a couple of months ago. Not complaining, though...
