Congrats! $8300 isn't bad for an Amazon card (unless you really spend a lot on there!) Mine is $1500.
As for CLIs, often they'll give an auto CLI after 6-7 months or so, or sooner if they really like you. They like spend, so if you use the card and pay it off regularly you increase your chances, though they are a bit unpredictable.

It was super weird to find this thread, because I applied and searched out starting limits... I was also approved for $8300 as a SL. Is that the most you can expect? @Anonymous have you received a CLI on the card since you got it?
I'm not sure what the max starts are for Chase, but they tend to want to start low and slowly move up. If they are going to look at a cli it would be after this month, but I am not going to ask for one as I am going to refi the mortgage and don't want a pull before hand plus, in reality, this is a fine limit for this card.
