So I guess they love me and hate my wife who has way better scores than me, go figure. All of this makes no real sense really but I will take it. Of course, it could be an Amazon thing as well, that Amazon is pressuring Chase to raise limits for good customers, who knows or it could be my theory that higher limits from other lenders spur older lenders to keep pace.
I'm curious what constitutes a good customer? Many of us are good customers by actually buying on Amazon and paying our bill on time but don't get approved for Chase's Amazon or don't get increases . A bank doesn't love or hate us because someone gets a cli or not , higher or lower, their algorithms decide that but I enjoy reading your take on credit nonetheless
.
Thanks, @AverageJoesCredit and yes you are probably dead on with the algorithm thing. It is almost like winning the lottery it seems. Still frustrates the hell out of me. Just like why my credit scores are about 20 points below my wife's for whatever reason but curiously enough I get better CLs than her every time. That would tell me not to aim for higher scores, wouldn't it?

@Borealis wrote:Congrats on your Chase Amazon Prime auto luv! There's been a lot of it going around it seems, so maybe your wife will get lucky soon.
Thank you @Borealis. Yes, Amazon Prime for sure. Has Chase done auto CLIs on their core cards as well?
Going strictly by forum observations, I've only noticed the sharp uptick with their Prime card. Almost makes me want to apply for one. I am 4/24!
Congratulations, @Crowhelm! After seeing your post I decided to take a look in my own Chase account and saw that I had also been approved for an auto CLI. I had actually been trying to trigger an auto CLI (and other favorable action from Chase), and I have some data points that I feel may have been a factor, so I put them in a spearate thread here: Yet another Chase Amazon Prime card CLI
Congratulations on your CLI with Chase!
LOL. I can't avouch that Chase does or doesn't like your wife, but congrats on the CLI!
