The DW and I have been discussing the CSP/CSR and she sorta wanted the CSR. I explained the benefits, AF, etc. to her, she seemed okay with it. I advised her to sleep on it for a few days to see if it's worth it for her or not. She forgot about it. Fast forward to Friday (3/1) on our drive to NY, she asked me about it. She thought it would be a good card for her to have. I asked her why and she said "I want my own Chase card, you have 4, and it looks pretty." ::faceplam:: I told her that will go in-branch and see what they say.
The next day, first thing in the morning - "when are we going". Argh. Let's have some breakfast and then we can go. Breakfast completed in a record time of 4 and a half minutes. I think I swallowed 4 bites. So then we head out, drive over to the Chase branch, we walk in, there's a line - waited for about 10 minutes, then decided to go the other branch. Drove to another branch and were immediately responded too. Ended up chatting with the Rep lady for awhile as she pulled the wife's accounts up, suprisingly, the rep stated that she saw pre-approvals for many cards.
She pulled up the CSR (in the drop down menu, DW had every card listed there I think) , I didn't get a clean look but it looked like a solid APR. I figured it's definitely an approval but for how much, who knows. With the following DPs (780+ on all 3 CBs, close to 2 year AAoA, income is all me (LOL). I figured she would either get 15k-20k approval. Rep filled out all the necessary info, once completed, had the wife sign, and then completed the app, it went straight to verification. The rep called and spoke to the phone rep, 5 minutes later, hung up.
Looked over at us and said "You've been approved".
DW smiles "Wooohoooo".
Me "How much is the CL?"
Rep "27K."
DW "Whoaaaaa"
Me "Wtfasdfkjalsdkjfkasdfk" *jawdrops*.
We shake hands with rep, wife walks happily to car, I'm behind her dragging my jaw.
