Last month I posted about my 3 SP CLI approvals with NFCU (17.5K >25K) , BOA (16.5K> 25K) and Amex 10K > 30K). I've been working on my credit so the fact that I'm getting approved now is really great!
Sunday I used the Credit journey preapproval link in the Chase app and was preapproved for two Chase cards (CFU, CSP). I opted for the Freedom with 5% cash back and was not instantly approved. I was bummed out and thought I was declined and burned an INQ and though I spooked them with my impatience . I waited a few days and was prepared to Recon to just get approved for say a 1K limit . When I called chase it Turned out they wanted to verify my identity with the fraud department and the guy put me on hold and said congratulations your approved with a SL of $8,400 and APR of 22.24% !!!

I opened a checking and savings with chase and parked 15k in it to help approval odds back in 10/19.
I want to Apply for another no AF credit card but don’t wanna get another cash back card that overlaps with the benefits that I’m already receiving and I want a lender that will grow with me over time. I'm guess officially in the garden now. Gonna let my new acct age and get back to working on my credit goals . I want to apply for a mortgage June 2021. Thank you to this forum for all your help, I love reading and getting info from this community. Hope my info helps someone as so many of you have helped me.
Note: My impatience got the best of me . I should’ve waited until my BT payment posted which would’ve showed a 20% utilization instead of 32% to the Credit Bureaus and I would’ve gotten a better APR as well as a much higher SL with chase Oh well... to the garden I go!! I know better next time to put my best credit picture forward. I also called them to expedite the credit card as 10 business days was too long to wait for my shiny visa signature card .
