Ok so I got the itch to apply for this card and on a whim submitted an application during lunch. So much for gardening until the end of this year!
I initally for the screen that says I would get something in the mail in 10 days but it could take up to 30 and then I got the email that said 30 days.
I looked through these forums and decided to call the status line to get a better idea of where I stood, so about 10 minutes after applying, maybe 15, after i googled and searched these forums as to whether to wait it out or call. I call the status line and it says approved.
So I am very excited but I am thinking since its by SS number could it be a fluke and they are relaying the approval from my IHG card in October? Or wow did I really just get a Hyatt card?!

I'm sure the approval is for the Hyatt card. Check your Chase online account and the Hyatt card will probably already be there. Congrats!
I've checked but nothing yet. Thanks!
Automated status line will say you have x amount of applications on file and the date and approved and amount of approval or under review so it should say date and approved if I am not mistaken so you can tell the difference between applications and your old application is probably off the automated system by now as well
OK thanks, yes my last app was the IHG card on 10/30/15, it didn't say anything other than i was approved so I wasn't sure.
OK great, Im glad that I asked, now I can get excited about getting the card! Now im just anxious to see what limit they granted out of curiousity. I really just wanted it for the 2 free nights and the annual free night.
Usually at the end of the approval message it will tell you what your credit limit is going to be. At least it has for me ever time including my Hyatt approval the other day. Make sure you listen to the message to the very end.
Congratulations and welcome to the Chase Hyatt family ![]()

Thanks, (I hope!)
Quick questions totally off topic, I notice you have listed all three cards that I have (or in Hyatt, hope to have) as your favorite, what makes the Amex and Citi DC a favorite? I actually have regretted applying for the DC, maybe I'm, missing something.

OK so I found another phone number for status checks and called that number and found out I got approved for $5k (which is what I expected) and with 16.24 apr. The first number I called would just say approved but this one had all the info!
Sweet so now I can totaly bask in the glory of this day hahah It still hasn't shown up in my account online nor have I gotten the approval email.
I feel lucky that I got approved since I am still paying down my 2 cards that are high and wonder why it was so quick, literally 10/15 minutes after I applied but hey Ill TAKE IT!
